He left after about 20 minutes though, just said he was going to bed.but it was maybe 9pm at this point so that may have just been an excuse! :-) He actually gave some simple but very great advice to me regarding my fiance at the time (long story but tl dr it was a toxic relationship, we were about to get married and I felt I couldn't stop it from happening), and he actually gave me the courage to leave her. Q was very quiet and actually looked down in the dumps. Sal was super friendly but left quite quickly to go make a phonecall and didn't come back. Within minutes they were all treating me as if we'd been friends for years, especially Murr. We had a bit of small talk for a few minutes, then I felt like I was outstaying my welcome and was about to leave, but Joe was like 'Don't just stand there man, pull up a chair'. That broke the ice a lot, once he realised I was a bit of a nervous fan he started asking me questions like where I was from etc.

I stood awkwardly for a moment, wanting to ask for a picture or autograph but didn't know how to phrase it, then Joe came over with some drinks. They all laughed and Murr was really smiley and seemed actually pleased to see me, said it's always great to meet a fan. I recognised them straight away and went over but completely blanked on the name of the show and their group name (tenderloins) so I just went 'oh hey aren't you.um.well, you're Sal, you're Murr and you're Q'. I went down to the bar out of pure boredom (this was not the day of the wedding, it was the evening after) and saw Sal, Murr and Q sitting at a table. I was staying in a hotel a few years back for a friend's wedding. Ok good! I was unsure if this subreddit was for news and updates rather than this sort of thing. I remember him favoriting the tweet but I cannot find it now, I may have deleted the account :-( I tweeted him a year later to say that his advice changed my life, but the character limit meant I couldn't explain who I was or what advice he gave me. I've had it myself, I know the signs, however I hope that I completely misread it and he was just very tired. Joe is the only person I've met who simply does not need to drink to act that way. A lot of non-drinkers say they don't need to drink to have a good time which is totally valid, but often they can't match the energy/enthusiasm of someone who is drunk, it's quite a task. It wasn't until afterwards that I heard that Joe doesn't ever drink. It must get tiring having strangers come up to you all the time wanting to hang out. If Joe hadn't invited me to drink with them, I don't think any of them would have asked.
